OKLAHOMA CITY â The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence has announced the recipients of its prestigious 2021 Academic All-State Awards. These 100 top public high school seniors, selected from 379 nominations, hail from 77 schools in 69 school districts.
The 2021 Academic All-State class is the 35th to be selected by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence.
Each of this yearâs All-Staters will receive a $1,000 merit-based scholarship and a medallion. The All-Staters will be recognized at the foundationâs 35th annual Academic Awards Celebration on May 22 at the Cox Business Center in Tulsa.
Students must meet one of the following criteria: an American College Test composite score of at least 30; a combined SAT evidence-based reading & writing and math score of at least 1370; or be selected as a semi-finalist for a National Merit, National Achievement or National Hispanic Scholarship. The deep rounded sides painted to the exterior with a panel enclosing a scene with the poet Su Shi and two companions in a boat seated at a low table under a canopy enjoying wine, an oarsman standing at the helm, the scene enclosed by a larger continuous calligraphy panel with an excerpt from Su Shi s Ode to the Red Cliff, the interior painted with two encircled bands of lotus flower-heads and water fronds, one at the rim, the other at the well, all centered by a Chenghua four-character mark.
The Indian boxing team bagged the highest number of medals at the 30th Adriatic Pearl Tournament held in Budva, Montenegro. The 19-member boxing team ended the tournament with 12 medals in their grasp, making them the team with the most medals.
Ten of these medals were brought in by women, five of them being golds. The women’s squad, featuring boxers below the age of 18, was also declared the ‘Best Team of the Tournament’. The men on the team procured two bronzes.
Boxers Babyrojisana Chanu (51kg) and Arundhati Choudhary (69kg) secured gold medals and Lucky Rana secured a silver one on the final day of the tounament. Alfiya Pathan (+81kg), Vinka (60kg), and T Sanamacha Chanu (75kg) are the other Indian women boxers who won gold medals in their respective categories earlier on.
